A while back Joe Camilleri asked me to play some sessions for the new Black Sorrows album along with Jeff Burstin. We played on a few tracks including CITY OF SOUL which was almost like a 1980′s Falcons track with its Bluebeat rhythm. I was thrilled, especially as he got me to play some solos.

Then last year he got me back to actually sit in with the band to record quite a few more tracks. Rhythm, lead, slide and more solos! He said he appreciated what I “brought to the table”.. that he liked my “English sound”!

The other band members were very welcoming and gracious, especially guitarist Claude.

The result is The Way We Do Business album.

And City of Soul did end up with my solo!
